Sunrise over Greenwich Bay, East Greenwich, Rhode Island

Literally, dusted the cobwebs off my easel. As Anne of Green Gables would say... it is nice to have a bed room that faces east. I caught very few sunrises before we lived here. Greenwich Bay Sunrise, East Greenwich, Rhode Island.

Narragansett Beach, Rhode Island

I painted another little study painting. 4" x 2" and Annalee did two little 2" square paintings. Looking forward to painting some big studies from all the photos we are snapping. Rell, my little one, paints at home and they look so much like the sea that I can't help but add them.

We arrived at the beach early,  first I spent an our teaching a work colleague how to surf. The day was perfect, we had the beach to ourselves. We started painting around 11.

Napatree Point, Rhode Island; Photos

Napatree Point, Rhode Island

On Sunday, September 7, 2013 my friend Kristin, my 8-year-old daughter, Annalee, and I kicked off our adventure and blog. Our goal painting and exploring our tiny/huge state of Rhode Island.

After a 35 minute drive and an hours walk, we arrived at the furthest point south and west in Rhode Island... Napatree Point.
